Winter in every colour

They are THE attractions in South Tyrol in winter: the Christmas markets. Many cities and villages transform into true Christ mas paradises in December, offering a perfect alternative program for those who want to spend their South Tyrol winter vacation without skiing. Everywhere, festively decorated stalls await you with handmade gifts and regional delicacies. In addition to the five major Christmas markets in Bolzano, Brixen, Merano, Sterzing, and Bruneck, there are many smaller markets. Not sure what to do in Merano during winter? A day at the Merano Thermal Baths in the heart of the spa town is the perfect way to escape the cold. The Archaeology Museum in Bolzano is one of the most fascinating cultural attractions in South Tyrol during winter.
